Knitwear production has been our family business for over 60 years. Founded in 1953, Madiva is a family-owned firm, born from the commitment of Alfio and Iside Botta and currently run by their son Roberto, who, in turn, has been supported for some years now by his two daughters, Paola and Giulia. The company is located in Valdengo, an area in the surroundings of Biella, the renowned wool capital, and since its origins Madiva has specialised in the manufacturing of premium quality Italian underwear. In the last 10 years, it has focused on retail distribution both in Italy and abroad, creating a new brand: ARTIMAGLIA. The approximately 8000 square metre plant houses the entire production cycle: from weaving to the finished product. Only for finishing do we outsource to an external supplier who, however, operates in our same area. Once manufacturing is complete, the fabric returns to the company for cutting and tailoring.

What about our company’s flagship? The real, fully-fledged Made in Italy, backed by ethical and moral reasons. We manufacture knitwear apparel of the utmost quality, guaranteed by employing exclusively first choice fibers; and we do that right here, in our plant. Biella, the wool capital. Being born and raised in Biella implies preserving, under all circumstances, the love for a properly done job, as well as being able to benefit from a know-how which has taken shape and constantly evolved over the years. We continue operating in the surroundings of Biella in the name of our profound connection with its territory: we want to keep traditions alive. Managing a local production process allows to monitor the product quality and to work ensuring reliability and satisfaction to our customers.

Our collections are characterised by decades of experience in selecting materials that convey Italian refinement and taste. We are constantly conducting fashion research, striving to keep up with new trends; we use high-precision machinery and, very importantly, our staff have been highly specialised in quality control for many years.
